Alongside the music three prints were created in the darkroom.
Each print follows the time of the song in a different way.
The first print was done over the full length of the music, it is a 15-minute exposure and every minute another sheet of transparent paper was added on top of the paper to modify the way the paper receives the image. The second image follows the same process as the first but instead of transparent paper, Nanne used smaller pieces of light cardboard, so the translucency of the image through the paper is not possible and differences in exposure and time are more visible.
The last image is a single exposure of 15 seconds.
All three belong together and are presented as one with the music to give a sense of bundled time, and what 15 minutes of music could embody in imagery using analog printing techniques.-

Reviews
michael iona Nebel lang’s piano flows and flows — a Heraclitean river rippling and murmuring endlessly, but never quite repeating itself. A hallucinatory quality gradually emerges in "274 (drifted),” only deepening its mesmerizing beauty. The photography by Nanne Springer likewise reveals the flux of time superimposed upon itself. A gorgeous release.
jammingdevice As bold and confident as it is meditative; maintaining just enough calamity to keep momentum, this is a ride I keep returning to. Every time it gives rise to new reflections. ("274 (drifted)" is, as the title implies, slightly less structured than its counterpart. Just a little looser and more distant. It acts as an effective prologue.)
