i walked from the airport,
which only looked like a couple of minutes on the maps,
but turned out to be an hour in heavy rain.
very cold, very miserable.
no pavement,
every car splashed me.

there was a break in the clouds for about thirty minutes when i arrived.

situate is a short piece to help the listener establish the volume for the entire work.
