STILL ASIDE 19

All I did as a child was to play outside, in nature, by the river, in the forest. Every day meant a new discovery. Building dams over small streams of water, finding flowers to give to my mother, taking my sisters into the woods looking for mushrooms, sitting on the snow and trying not to break in. Most memories for me take place in the interior of our earth.
To leave behind us what surrounds us on a daily basis and to unfold it in a different rhythm in nature, through photography, is just the same as going back in time. Or back to us. To ourselves.
A barefoot walk through the fields in autumn, finding your mirrored self in the sea, covering your neck in the shadow of a tree, molding your rips between a rocky wall, letting the wind take a seat in strands of hair.
We belong here.
