And all of a sudden you feel far away
Distant from the city, from people, from the noise.
Surrounded by sand, driftwood, seaweed
And the sound of the rippling tide on its way in.
Ocean, her presence returns to the shore line,
Reflecting the colours of the sky,
Various formations of clouds,
and the sun’s light —
shifting from yellow to gold.
And on her watery skin, a solitary cloud,
blushing pink and floating aimlessly,
alone and sovereign, drifting without any need,
nor conscience of time.
And I stood there,
laid my feet bare,
in the cold wet sand,
waiting for the tide to wash over me.
I beheld her presence, all of nature,
In reverence, consumed by the tenderness of her touch.
This music was meant to be released somewhere else
